A coin counter sorter is a machine that sorts or separates the coins of different denominations. The sorter does not count the coins it just collects them in different counters. The counter has a bowl sort of space that has a flat disc at the bottom that spins and all the coins are spread around the bowl in circle. There is an opening at the edge of the bowl that allows one coin at a time to pass through another counter with light beam. There can be a cam loaded with spring instead of the light beam. This cam also accepts one coin at a time and hence keeps on counting them one by one.

This means that the one that you use for a specific country will not work for other countries if their coin denominations are different and differ in size as well. They are also available in manual versions along with the mechanized ones. They can be chosen depending on the use from a home set up to a large scale commercial requirement. The manually operated ones work on batteries and can be loaded with only 20-25 coins and for commercial ones which work on electricity this may go up to 600 coins.

The coin counter sorter is very efficient in counting coins with accuracy and quickly and hence is convenient. The devices that are available in the market are very accurate and precise and can sort pennies, dimes, nickels, quarters and all other coins. There are some models of these coin counter sorter that can sort up to 312 coins in a minute. Their anti -jamming mechanism enables free movement of the coins and also frees the coins automatically and makes them ideal machine for small businesses.

While you buy a coin counter sorter then check for some important things like what all coins it can sort and count. The reason for checking this is that many currency coins have similar sizes and some of them may not fit in the machine. Check for the sorting and counting speed. The collection opening size should not be very large so that you can take out coins in smaller lots. See if it has coin tubes with it or you have to buy them separately. The starter coin wrappers have to be part of the device. The power consumption varies from 4 to 6 W on an average.
